Design Standards & Details

We’re here to help you design and construct utility infrastructure that meets CCUA requirements and provides reliable service to our community for years to come. Our standards, specifications, and technical resources are intended to make the development process clear, consistent, and easy to follow.

CCUA’s Standards & Details provide the technical, material, and construction requirements for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure that will be dedicated to CCUA. Standard detail sheets are available for download and should be incorporated into project construction plans where applicable.

Utilizing CCUA’s standards and details helps streamline the review process, improve construction consistency, reduce revisions during plan review, and support the long-term reliability of the utility system.

Approved Materials Manual

To support a reliable and long-lasting utility system, CCUA maintains a list of approved materials, manufacturers, and products for use throughout our water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure systems.

Using approved materials helps ensure system compatibility, consistency in construction, and a smoother plan review, permitting, and inspection process. The Approved Materials Manual also provides contractors, engineers, developers, and suppliers with clear guidance on materials accepted for use within the CCUA utility system.

Permitting & Review Timeframes

We understand that time is critical to the success of a development project. CCUA’s Development Services Department is committed to providing timely and thorough reviews to help keep projects moving forward efficiently.

Review Process: Upon submission, project plans and supporting documents enter the CCUA review process to verify compliance with applicable CCUA standards, specifications, policies, and utility requirements.

Resubmittals: If revisions or additional information are required, review comments and red-line markups will be provided to the applicant. Resubmitting complete and clearly addressed revisions will help streamline the review process and reduce delays in permit issuance and project approval.
